Looking for a book with a second-generation African character – someone with African parents who is born and raised in the West. Can be either memoir or fiction. I'm only finding books about the American Black experience, or the African experience, or the experience of African immigrants who move to the US/UK. I've read plenty of books about second-gen East Asians, South Asians, Pacific Islanders, Latinos, etc but not 2nd gen Africans.
The closest thing I've found was Girl, Woman, Other which I really enjoyed. I tried reading Manifesto also by Bernardine Evaristo but found it bland. Are there any others in existence?

I think the main character in Transcendent Kingdom by Yaa Gyasi is second generation Ghanaian American.
