I occasionally want to get into reading.
Whether it's for my own sake or because Society has been drilling the idea in my head that Reading is cool again and that I should read at least one book in my life or else I'm nothing but a worthless dopamine slave??? I'm not sure BUT-
I find it hard to get into it because either I don't really know what I want or I'm too intimidated or overwhelmed by the heavy subjects of some stories that it ends up souring my opportunities to pursue reading literature as a hobby.
To give you an idea- I'm someone who typically enjoys a lot of action-oriented games or games where the gameplay is the main focus and not the story.
As long as it's not too heavy and it doesn't make me uncomfortable, I'm not really too picky. Maybe don't reccomend me a lot of medieval fantasy stuff because it's not a genre I'm too interested in.

You might enjoy LitRPG as a genre. My favorite LitRPG book is Dungeon Crawler Carl. Don’t let the title turn you off – it’s well-written and enormously entertaining.
Ready Player One is also a lot of fun to read as a gamer.
