I usually almost exclusively read fantasy, but have enjoyed a run of contemporary fiction novels over the past couple of months. I am at a bit of a loss as to what to read next after finishing Big Time by Jordan Prosser (which was fantastic) and would appreciate some suggestions before I dip back into fantasy again when the new John Gwynne comes out. I was considering picking up A Little Life but I'm not sure I'm quite ready for the misery of it all.

Glorious Exploits, The Bee Sting, Big Time, Close to Home, Kala, AJ Fikry, Tomorrow cubed, The Count of Monte Cristo.
