I’m currently at work bored and I’m craving a good novella. If you have any sci-fi/fantasy recommendations I would greatly appreciate it. For context some of my favorites are the Wayward children series by Seanan McGuire and What Moves the Dead by T. Kingfisher.

The Murderbot series by Martha Wells
T. Kingfisher has a lot of good stuff out there. If you like humor and warfare, go with The Wizards Guide To Defensive Baking, and if regency/social horror/magic is more your thing, try A Sorceress Comes To Call.
If contemplative sci-fi about the nature of satisfaction and friendship and the sound of crickets is more your speed, try Becky Chambers book A Psalm For The Wild Built.
A Study in Emerald. This is How You Lose the Time War. Any of the Expanse ones. Ogres.
Thornhedge by T. Kingfisher
To Be Taught if Fortunate by Becky Chambers
Binti by Nnedi Okorafor
Mr. Fox by Helen Oyeyemi
The Tusks of Extinction by Ray Nayler
Finna by Nino Cipri
And What Can We Offer You Tonight by Premee Mohamed
The Brides of High Hill by Nghi Vo
