I've read Every Heart a Doorway (Seanan McGuire), IT (Stephen King), Die (Kieron Gillen), and The Looking-Glass Wars (Frank Beddor). I'm a big fan of stories about former child heroes who are now back from their adventure and irreparably changed by it. Any suggestions for other books that use that trope?

Grady Hendrix’s **The Final Girl Support Group** is about a group of women who are survivors of movie-style serial killer attacks, and who are now being targeted by a new killer. I’m not a huge Hendrix fan, but this book is really popular over at r/horrorlit and definitely fits your request.
