I’m looking for something with a relationship involved that would heal my inner child, and has me blushing for the main character. Bonus points if one character is also seen as someone unattainable whether that’s due to family, wealth, or appearance.
I’d love a slow burn, no fantasy involved (only humans) and I’d prefer if it isn’t a series… unless the first book can be enjoyed on its own.
I’d love something with a lot of seduction and tension, having one character “off limits” (i.e. difference in position of power due to family or career)
Some examples that I enjoyed due to the level of seduction/tension are:
• 50 Shades of Grey – Christian Grey and Anastasia (boss and employee)
• Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow – Sadie (student) and Dov (teacher)
• Divergent – Beatrice/Tris (new member) and Tobias/Four (instructor)
• The Summer I Turned Pretty – Conrad (close friends with her older brother) and Belly
