Hi! I've been trying to get back into reading and it's been hard trying to pin down what I like personally. It's been about like, 9 or 8 or so years since I've been super into reading.
So I would like to ask for some book matching to my interests and I'll list some books I really like to somewhat help narrow it down.

    What really interests me

    • Dragons! Especially dragons who are the protagonists (with little to no humans in the book itself)

    • A sort of whimsical fanasty sorta environment, with different races and a map is very nice. (Can you tell that I'm a nerd, dnd head ahh)

    • Just animal protagonists in general, idky but I just don't find myself really liking the protagonists if their human, even humanoid is pushing it but it doesn't mean I'm not opposed to it.

    • WAR!! I really like some sort of political conflict.

    • If I had to modernize it, I really like somewhat cyberpunk/steampunk environments if I had to choose a more modern setting. Maybe futuristic.

    • And not to be werid, (I'm AFAB but im nonbinary) but for some reason, but any fem or any woman protag centered story just really turn me off from a story. Maybe it's my gender identity conflicting and feeling just, werid. Doesn't mean I won't read stories with them, it's just really harder for me to connect.

    • And male protagonists, their ok but the moment their like any military personality or some sort of tough guy personality, I sorta shut the book immediately I'm not dealing with that man's nonsense lol.

    • Y/A books just don't hit it for me, idk what it is but when I try to read Y/A in bookstores, I get so bored so quickly.

    • I ADORE HUMOR, Make me laugh please!!!

    • The most mature stuff I can handle is like, murder and stuff but sexual assault are out of the question.

    • I also really like Manga and comics! In general, not tied to a specific genre

Now for books that I like to give you somewhat of an idea of books I did enjoy. Keep in mind, I somewhat stopped reading in middle school so ya know, there's are rather teenage books.

    • Wings of Fire (esp the 1st and 2nd arc)

    • Maybird (the trilogy)

    • The Night Gardener

    • Good Omens

    • Harry potter (if we go waaayyy back into like elementary school)
