I am someone who really enjoys non-fiction, memoirs, autobiography, etc. as well as crime/mystery but looking for books that do not include/lay out graphic sexual assault and rape. I’ve picked up one too many recommended/“omg you should totally read this” books that contain these and it’s really hard for me to recover from them.
However, I am ok with there just being mentions of SA, if it’s part of a person’s history and experience, as well as consensual sex.
With that said, considering the types of reads I like, would anyone have book ideas/suggestions?
EDIT: not saying books with SA in them are not or can not be good reads, just a strong preference here

Memoirs/Bio:
King Peggy
A Year in Provence By Mayle
Never Cry Wolf by Mowat
The Man Who Never Was by Montagu
Mornings on Horseback (or any bio OR non-fic by McCullough)
Mystery/crime:
There is NO Agatha Christie mystery that even touches on your trigger
Many of the older authors of classic mystery never mention it. either. If you are interested:
Carr’s Dr. Gideon Fell mysteries are classic “locked room”
Dorothy Sayers and Nagio Marsh are classic golden age
A little newer cozies:
Jill Churchill
Carolyn Hart
