“The Shining” by Stephen King: A classic horror novel about a family trapped in a haunted hotel, exploring themes of isolation and madness.

I hated “The Ruins” with the burning fire of a thousand suns…I guess you can say it stuck with me if you count hatred. I was furious when I got to the last page and realized I had wasted so much time on it. I wanted to find the author and chew him out for such a garbage effort.

Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to forget that book. Especially because anytime something happens in politics/the world it often eerily mirrors Parable of the Sower.
