I love the feeling of finding a book which amazes me (happened only like 6x in my life sadly lol) , so i Will order each and every one of the books you recommend me. (Joke I’ll do like 10 max LOL) but seriously help me out here plsss just wanna have a good reading experience 🙂 a little intro summary would be good too without spoilers

The Eight by Katherine Neville is probably my favorite thriller/mystery. I can’t summarize it because it’s complicated to explain so you’ll have to look it up. But trust me it’s worth it.

I really enjoy Sarah Rayne – she writes very creepy psychological horror, often with a (believable and woven in neatly) supernatural twist. A couple of them I could only read once, they were so dark (*Tower of Silence*, *A Dark Dividing*, *What Lies Beneath*) and her *Roots of Evil* is one of my favorite books, regardless of genre. Has a back-n-forth present to past plot, too.

Simone St. James also writes deliciously dark and creepy stories, definitely psychological and some supernatural elements. *The Haunting of Maddy Clare*, *An Inquiry into Love and Death*, *The Other Side of Midnight* all set in and around the World Wars. *The Sundown Motel* and *The Book of Cold Cases* set in modern times.

    3. Obligatory *House Of Leaves* plug. It really is unlike anything you’ve ever read, I promise.

The Southern Reach trilogy is also really good in a cosmic horror kind of way. Start with *Annihilation* and see if it grabs you.
