I recently finished "One Soldier's War" by Arkady Babchenko which then led me to read multiple books on personal war stories, from World War 1 and 2, Vietnam, and the Gulf War, but I just can't find anything that is from a soldier telling about his OWN experience, only from journalists and historians. I really liked how personal "Blood on the Risers" was almost like a journal, so something like that would be great.
