I have a very niche request. I just finished the book The Cliffs by J. Courtney Sullivan and absolutely loved it. My other favorite book of the year is North Woods by Daniel Mason. I didn't realize when I was reading The Cliffs, but they're both stories set in New England set over generations, centering around a house and including ghosts.
This makes then sound very very similar, but actually I didn't put this together until I saw someone mention North Woods in a review on Goodreads.
What I loved was that the house was the center for looking into the past and seeing different generations and how they lived. These aren't ghost stories, but the people from the post who lived in the house or area have remained and pop up now and then in the story.
So what I'm asking is if there are any other human stories set in New England, centering around a house and including ghosts out there? I'll probably love them
