Can you please recommend books that deal with the idea of inevitability of loss?
This quote is the best description I could use:
“To truly love another person is to accept that the work of loving them is worth the pain of losing them."
I'm looking for something truly existential and melancholic. This idea of the price of love and its consequences gets me every time. I'm in dire need of a cry rn.
I would be really grateful for any suggestions!
(I really likes "Our Wives Under the Sea".)
