I like very long fantasy/fiction book series. The longer the better to expand on the universe. Any recommendations that are available on Kindle Unlimited?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions, I just finished a 20 book series and the next book isn’t coming out until January. 🙁

    1. I don’t use Kindle Unlimited and am having a hard time using the search on Amazon to tell what’s available on it, but these are some fantasy series I have liked:

      * Either the **Shadowmarch** or **Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn** series by Tad Williams. These books are *really* long with large casts of characters.

      * **C. J. Cherryh** has written both sci fi and fantasy series as well as about a billion stand alone books. The **Fortress series** is the only series I’ve read, and focuses a lot on the day to day workings of life in a low tech fantasy setting, and the relationships between characters.

      * The **Abhorsen series** by Garth Nix. Features a unique magic system.

      * The early sci fi fantasy author **Andre Norton** has written a huge number of books (she wrote for 70 years!) including the [Witch World](https://www.goodreads.com/series/53806-witch-world) series. However, these are all very short, pulp novels so I doubt they’re on Kindle Unlimited. There’s a lot of them, though.

      * The **Area X/Southern Reach** trilogy by Jeff VanderMeer. I’ve seen the series called both titles, Area X when it’s one huge volume and Southern Reach when each of the books is sold separately. This is a different kind of fantastic fiction than the others. It’s very weird and all about uncertainty, so you don’t really learn much conclusive about the world.

      * **The Mirror Empire** series by Kameron Hurley. I have not read these yet, but they are on my list and are quite long books.
