My family member wants to read some fantasy, but I am unsure what to recommend her. She isn’t specific to a ‘type’ of fantasy but she doesn’t like series so it must be a standalone, and nothing that’s like YA or romantasy. Anything in the realm of SJM-esque fantasies would NOT be for her. In her regular reading, she reads a lot of contemporary, historical
Fiction, or kind of whimsical stories.
