Hello,
I'm just curious to see what everyone considers to be their comfort book – one that you can always turn to when you've found yourself in a slump, or life feels rough and you just need a comforting book-hug.
For me it's probably between Lord of the Rings, Dracula or any Agatha Christie books (but I have a particular soft spot for Miss Marple). When I'm having a particularly bad time in life, can no longer concentrate on anything or feel able to fully comprehend what I'm reading, I can still turn to these books – I suppose I've read them so many times by now that they feel familiar, comforting and safe when not much else does.
I've also recently read The Book of Lost Things, as well as The Land of Lost Things by John Connolly and I feel like they're going to become one of those comfort books!
