I understand my title may seem odd so let me furthermore explain. I would love to find a book that shows some form of society altering event (plague, foreign invasion, etc) and there is chaos about and you follow a character navigate many gangs or militaristic type groups. I understand this may be odd but any recommendations would be awesome thanks!

Can you tell I like post-apocalyptic fiction?
I have others I like but that don’t really fit your description…my favorites are Margaret Atwood’s MaddAddam trilogy (“Oryx and Crake”, “The Year of the Flood” and “MaddAddam”) and Carmac McCarthy’s “The Road”. I would suggest you not read The Road unless you are in a pretty good state emotionally to begin with as it is BLEAK.
