Okay I’m not going to beat around the bush or be ashamed of my tastes. I really like romance, specifically within fantasy. I like it when the Prince Saves the Princess and crap (yeah yeah, I know), but they all feel very bland and cliche. I would like to read a well written, non-cliche, super cheesy, PG-ish (no smut please) romance novel. Anyone know anything? Thanks so much!

It’s a dark(ish) fantasy romance that’s a bit cheesy but also really good. (There are vampires but it’s not like, *Twilight* dark fantasy. Think more Castlevania than Twilight) Ted Dekker is a religious author so it has *some* religious undertones with the vampires, but it’s not a preachy sort of book at all. I’d recommend it regardless of your religious beliefs.

Austen’s books of course! My teenage self really loves Sense and Sensibility since I see myself so much in Marianne!
