"Everything will be okay in the end; if it’s not okay, it’s not the end." While this statement may sound comforting, I've come across it repeatedly across various art forms and media. Sadly, it also encapsulates the essence of the book I recently read—repetition.
The book centers on Molly, a maid who may be neurodivergent (though this is never explicitly stated). She is falsely accused of murder but knows the true culprit, yet remains silent. Finally, she is acquitted and finds happiness and freedom.
Though the book features likable characters, the plot is overly simplistic and underdeveloped.
I’m curious about the portrayal of Molly’s character—what do neurodivergent readers think? I’m not well-versed in this area, so I’d appreciate any insights on whether the character is represented fairly.
Looking forward to your thoughts!
