Currently I am listening to Pride & Prejudice and the 4th book in the Kingsbridge series by Ken Follett, The Armor of Light.
I’m really enjoying The Armor of Light more because one of the historical topics in the book is about the invention of the Spinning Jenny in 1770.
I’m not that big into non fiction so I’m loving learning about the history of the textile craft in a fiction setting.
I’m totally hyper fixating on this subject right now and I need more books to feed this hunger for talk of fabric, threads, yarn, weaving etc but not for a non fiction recounting of the history of textiles. Maybe the main character is a seamstress or a weaver? Something of that nature?

“Weaveworld” by Clive Barker is exactly what you’re looking for. It’s a dark fantasy novel about a secret world woven into the threads of a tapestry.
