So, listen up, while I’m a huge fan of diving into fictional worlds, it’s hard for me to fully immerse myself in a book if the writing quality falls short. I mean, I need the writing to be captivating; otherwise, I might just DNF it or bail out before hitting the halfway mark. So, I’d appreciate your recommendations for books with exquisite writing. To give you an idea of my taste, here are some examples.

Books that have good writing according to me-

-On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong

    -Upstream Book by Mary Oliver

-Our wives under the sea by Julia Armfield

-A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki

-Sweet Bean Paste by Durian Sukegawa (I find that a lot of Japanese fiction has this kinda vibe where there is not much plot but you stay for writing.)

And if a book manages to combine top-notch writing with an engaging plot, well, that’s a double win for me.
