I'm an English Literature student going into my final year, and my dissertation is proposal is ideally going to be looking at postmodern retellings of Scottish mythology (although Irish, Welsh and English mythology are not out of the question either), and exploring how these older tales are used to juxtapose contemporary social and political issues.

I've been doing a lot of research over the past few months, and I'm currently gravitating towards looking at works which highlight classism and/or misogyny, so I've been looking a lot at Jenkins' 'The Changeling' and the works of CJ Cooke. I have no doubt 'Macbeth' will get a reference, and I may mention Harry Potter for its references to Cú-Sith.

I was really just wondering if anyone knew of any books dealing with Scottish mythology in this way which I may have had trouble coming across? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Apologies if this isn't the right place for this!
