It doesn't matter if the character isn't a main character or even a major side character. Just someone that at least shows up a couple times, I guess. But preferably a more major person in the story. Preferably if the guy is straight, no BL, please. It's just not my cup of tea. Just femboys, there's a difference between being trans and being a femboy.
