so im looking for the books about female leads having adventures. by adventures i mean them traveling around the kingdom or preferably around the galaxy like in star trek.
i would love m/f romance too, even if subtle. the important thing is that it's not heteronormative and the male character isn't a stereotypocal immature toxic asshole.
any suggestions?

Fortune’s Pawn trilogy by Rachel Bach
The Engines of God by Jack McDevitt.
Edit: The series has adventures and a female lead. No romance though.

To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Christopher Paolini is a sci-fi adventure with a tinge of thriller/mystery that I was pleasantly surprised by how it hooked me in!
