I know it is more common in ya and middlegrade, but i would love to read a fantasy book for adults which is set in a medival fantasy world – with a great cast of characters that you would root for going on some quest
The plot can be serious and even dark, but there would still be some funny comedy relief moments

{{The Sharing Knife}} is absolutely great for what you are requesting but with a serious caveat – the found family/party does not assemble till book 3 out of 4. First two books are very worthwhile, but are focused on a couple of main characters.
