I just finished this book and let me say, it far exceeded my expectations. I have read many lackluster memoirs that I had to drag myself through but this one was captivating from the first chapter. If I were trying to convince someone into reading memoirs I would give them A House in the Sky. The first 1/3 feels like a beautiful ode to traveling, the rest a thrilling story of survival and hope against all odds. I cried, my heart raced, my throat tightened. The author conveyed the story so well with their voice I could FEEL the anxiety and stress physically. Pick this one up guys.
