Pretty much as the title says. I've read about individual expeditions on their own, but I'd like to get a full picture of the history from Cabot to Amundsen at least, ideally covering overland expeditions like Back and Rae as well those by sea.
As an example, I quite liked L.H. Neatby's Discoveries in Russian and Siberian Waters going in the other direction, so I'd like something like that. I'm leaning towards Neatby's In Quest of the Northwest Passage, but am open to suggestions if there's a better option – particularly a newer one given the number of recent discoveries.
