A book about british colonization in India

I just wanted to know more about the topic especially since I've recently read more about India's history in a very superficial way, I was wondering if there's a book who treats as main topic the change there was in India before, during and after the colonization, possibly in a clear way tho I can try even if it's complicated it will help me get better anyway
