    Hello all!

I’m looking for young adult (or easy reads in general) series to give a try. So far I’ve loved Harry Potter (JK Rowling), Nevermoor (Jessica Townsend), The Prison Healer (Lynette Noni), and Percy Jackson (Rick Riordan). I’ve tried A Court of Thorns and Roses (Sarah Mass) and Eragon (Christopher Paolini) but wasn’t a fan. I also like dystopian themes too, but I could not get into Divergent (Veronica Roth), I’ve found I don’t like first person writing. I really enjoy how Harry Potter and Nevermoor have such detailed world building.

I’d also love a suggestion for a heartwarming read. Something that makes me smile when I have a bad day. Anxious People (Fredrik Backman) hit that for me and I’d love to find another one to keep at the ready when I’m feeling down!

    1. Discworld.
Definitely light hearted, but some surprising depth at times too. Clever writing. There’s enough variety in the 45 odd titles to keep it pretty fresh too IMO, but you don’t have to feel confined to reading it in strict publication order.
I’d start with The Color of Magic for Rincewind the worst wizard in the world, and his sentient luggage.

    2. I thoroughly loved the hobbit and lotr, and terry pratchett books.

More uplifting imo would be penric & desdemona, The lunar chronicles, heartstrikers series
