While working on a project, I began reading several sci-fi books, and then found out that many sci-fi books that deal with the climate change issues go undet the category of cli-fi.
The category includes many classics e.g. Dune and several Ballard books, and also some more recent works like Richard Powers's Overstory and Oryx and Crake. While I like the Ballards, but I find the pure sci-fi books a bit dated, as we are already experiencing Pandemics, firestorms, etc. So I'm looking for books that have the climate change issue in the background, not the main story.
Examples of my favorites are The Road, The Book of Joan, and the MaadAdaam trilogy. Appreciate your suggestions.
