Out of all the cozy mystery series, and I mean COZY, like the ones with bakeries on the covers, cats on chairs, amateur sleuths who work at the local library etc, which ones are the best? I'd love to get into a series to get me out of a difficult time I'm going through after two miscarriages, and don't know where to start with these. I was browsing the mystery stacks at the library and there are so many. MC Beaton? Rhys Bowen? Ellery Adams? Eva Gates? A different series altogether? Thanks in advance!

Highland Bookshop Mystery series by Molly McRae. In a small, made up town of Scotland, four women together open a bookshop, and become amateur sleuths. In the second book, they branch out and open a bakery
The same author has another series – Haunted Yarn Shop Mysteries. I’ve never read these. It’s also cozy mystery, but there’s paranormal element to it. Like a ghost interested in solving murder, or a ghost as assistant sleuth.
