Hello all!
I'm writing a book and I'm writing a guy. The typical advice is to just write a person and don't focus on their gender, but this story has differing themes. Arrogance, loneliness, friendship, togetherness. Also grappling with your own thoughts, but knowing you have people to confide into and help you along your journey. I know the concept of "sisterhood." And now I'd like to explore themes of brotherhood.
I want books that explore themes of male friendship and togetherness. It doesn't have to be the overarching themes, but I'd love some differing perspectives. I prefer fantasy or sci fi genres, with little or no romance.
I've read books like Project Hail Mary and the Witcher series and have really enjoyed both of those.

Kings of the Wyld by Nicholas Eames. Retired mercenary band gets back together. Themes unique to fatherhood, brothers-in-arms.
The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch
The Expanse by James S.A. Corey
The Lord of the Rings and Ender’s Game come to mind as well, but you’ve probably read them already
The Belgariad series by David Eddings. Classic fantasy series about the strong bond between Garion and his mentor as well as his friendships with other characters.
The Stormlight Archive series by Brandon Sanderson. Epic fantasy series with multiple perspectives but I’ll highlight Kaladin and his fellow soldiers.
