recently i finished reading fire punch by tatsuki fujimoto and i really got into the acting theme, so i’d like to read something about acting out what others expect from us or acting out lies out of our own survival

i know it’s an ample topic! so i’d prefer it if it’s alluded to more explicitly, in-text (like in fire punch), or if the book also works with queer themes or the loss of identity

i’m open to whichever genre, as long as the characters are in constant anguish or there’s an overall sense of gloom
