I'm looking for a book where the main character is one of the following – hunter/spy/explorer/thief/wanderer/hitman. Either male or female is fine. An Aragorn/Nathan Drake/The Doctor/Batman/Samurai Jack/Han Solo (I know these are very different characters). An adventurous loner who is highly skilled in their chosen field but not a mary-sue, resourceful, and typically spends time alone in the wilderness/ancient ruins/large city/uncharted planet. I like when the author explains the character's process, such as Paul Atreides' sand-walking, Katniss' hunting technique, or Sherlock's observations.
The last few books I read were Neverwhere, 11/22/63, The Three-Body Problem, Moon Knight (Mackay), This is How You Lose the Time War, and The Name of the Wind.
Favorite books include The Hobbit, Dune, Life of Pi, Neuromancer.
Favorite shows/movies are Doctor Who, Supernatural, One Piece, Indiana Jones, Blade Runner, The Dark Knight.
Favorite book genres are Scifi, Mystery, Fantasy, Historical Fiction, Crime Fiction/True Crime.
I don't need a super popular, soon-to-be blockbuster/netflix original, but something of quality 3.9+/5 stars. Series or standalone are fine as well.
