Looking for space horror books with similar vibes and themes of John Carpenter’s The Thing, Alien, Event Horizon, Pandorum. Loneliness, isolation, slowly descending into madness. Dosen’t have to be specifically in space.
* Leech by Hiron Ennes. All on Earth, set in a cold, isolated region accessible by train in the summer, but in the winter it gets snowed in.
* Blindsight by Peter Watts, available as a free ebook on the author’s website. He also wrote a short story that is The Thing but from the Thing’s perspective, [The Things.](https://escapepod.org/2011/06/23/ep298-the-things/)
* The Luminous Dead sounds like it takes place in an isolated setting, but I haven’t read it yet.
