I literally just found out that the authors of "The Expanse" have a new book out 10 mins ago and it got me thinking.
I don't follow literary news. I wouldn't know what sites to go to for news of book releases or any of that stuff. I would only find out if it was in the wider media (like this case) or if I randomly come across it in the bookstore.
In other words I just get (pleasantly) "surprised" by it.
So I'm wondering what it feels like to be on the other side of that. To know all about it from the initial announcement, to follow all news snippets and the anticipation of the countdown until release.
Surely finally reading the book after all that must be satisfying.
Which do you think is better?
