Hey!
I'm looking for an interesting book for school, so bear with me as I go through the requirements ':)
The book must be concidered a classic. It has to be from any era from the antique to the realism period. It also has to be published in the 1800s or earlier, though I suppose that somewhat aligns with the eras. And it's a western literature course so I guess it should be from a western author.
I'm not looking for anything specific, but my time for this course is limited and I will have to write a paper on the book so preferably nothing awfully long.
For reference, I've read before for example some Dostojevsky (Crime and Punishment, The Eternal Husband), a bit of Tolstoy (The Death of Ivan Ilych, War and Peace), Dante's Divine Comedy, Iliad and the Odyssey from Homer and some of Shakespeare's work, though I'm not really into reading plays. And outside the requirements, I often read "sad contemporary literature" as well as modern classics.
