Need some nonfiction recs

Ive got to do a book review for the seasonal magazine our newspaper puts out and since our other writer is doing fiction I want to pick a nonfiction. Its not my usual rotation so most subjects are fine but Im staying away from political books. Better if it came out this year or is kind of recent
