I’m currently in the middle of a reading slump because of a very bleak (but also very good!) book that I’m listening to the audiobook of, after a string of rather serious and heavy books this spring and summer. I’m also about to start the last semester of my master’s degree program, which is going to be incredibly stressful from the get-go.
I’d love to have something a little lighter to enjoy going into this semester; I usually listen to audiobooks on my commute, and my schedule this term has me driving to/from campus during peak rush hour a few days a week.
I’m open to all genres — anything happy or hopeful and I’m in! Bonus if it’s a particularly good audiobook 🙂 Authors I like who fit this vibe include Becky Chambers, Emily Henry, Martha Wells, and T. Kingfisher.

Foster by Claire Keegan, the perfect summer novella.
