I am looking for a book with dark themes that you would read again and does a great job of balancing the darkness of human nature so that you still want to read it again or recommend it at least. I have only read dark books that I might might enjoyed but didn't want to read again, like they were too dark and overall not enjoyable. But I've seen tons of movies with darker themes that I'd still see again because they did a good job of balancing dark themes with lighter plot points.

You didn’t specify any genre preferences. If you’re open to trying a historical romance, then The Highwayman by Kerrigan Byrne is one that I really enjoyed and will reread. The darkness is very well balanced and never overshadows the story.
