November is almost there and for me is a difficult month for many reason. I am slightly ocd so I need a book to obsess about to keep me company during the season. In the past the Agatha Raisin series and the four books of My Brillant Friend (Elena Ferrante) succeeded very well. Any other idea? I need an interested plot but also a story where you get fond of the characters and when you start a new book you have the feeling to meet some old friends again…I like mystery, cozy mystery, detective stories, crime ..but not only (My brillant Friend is not a crime). I would just avoid fantasy.

Have you read Louise Penny? I got super hooked on her mystery series and there’s plenty to read (18?), and definitely builds a warm cast of characters over time.
