Books with scheming, loyalty, honor, betrayals, murders etc

I’m a huge fan of Game of Thrones, setting the dragons and battles aside, one of my favourite aspects about GoT was how much plotting and scheming and backstabbing was happening in the show amongst characters.

I also love gangster stories like Godfather where there’s loyalty and honor.

What are your suggestions for books with elements like these?
