Looking for a book with well written plot and characters, true slow burn romance where the FMC is crazy about MMC, but the MMC is either indifferent, or genuinely hates her and finds her annoying, but they are somehow forced to share a common space or work together, and because of which the FMC slowly (very slowly) starts to grow on him. But the FMC facing constant rejection from him, gives up hope on him or stops showing/withdraws her feelings. The MMC also hates his growing affection for her but cannot stop it, but he realises that it's almost too late, so he starts grovelling.
If the MMC is in love with another girl and has lost her and heartbroken/depressed about it , would be a bonus.
Sounds very specific and narrow, but I desperately look for such a book. It can be steamy, sm*ty, no problem with it. But has to be slowburn.
P.S- if it's period romance, it would be perfect.
