Hi! I recently read Yellowface and really enjoyed it. Looking for something similar, I liked the writing style, enjoy a first person perspective, I enjoyed having a narrator who isn't necessarily the hero.
Other books Ive read that I think hit the same vibe for me is Sweetpea by CJ Skuse and Earthlings by Sayaka Murata.
Any suggestions appreciated!

The Plot by Jean Hanff Korelitz is similar (stolen plot, misguided mc, and a behind the scenes of publishing view), but skews more towards mystery/thriller than literary.
Me too! Great book. I think you might appreciate a book called Counterfeit by Kirstin Chen – I think it has a similar vibe in that it’s got that sort of snowballing effect of a small transgression leading into a bigger one and eventual full-on criminality.
