I am on a mission to read _War & Peace_. Actually, it’s quite a smooth read so far!

Yes, I am enjoying it. I became interested after watching the first season of Winning Time on HBO. Never started season 2 but I figured I’d get a better story in the book it’s based on.

I finally got fed up with my shelf of unread books and decided to just read through them in order by author’s last name. Kinda regretting it now.
Just finished **Legends & Lattes**, which was… underwhelming, given it kinda spawned an entire subgenre. Now I’ve moved on to **The Stone in the Skull**, which is… also underwhelming. Beautiful prose, for sure, but doesn’t really have anything else going for it.

I started *When We Lost Our Heads* by Heather O’Neill last night and so far I’m enjoying it. It’s not the type of book I’d usually read but I was wanting something a little different and decided to give it a go.

Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky. I had insanely high expectations going in, and it’s managed to surpass them. Deserves all the hype.

This Strange and Eventful History by Claire Messud (I’m on a mission to read this year’s Booker longlist). It’s okay so far, and I’m enjoying learning about postwar Algeria, but I’m not exactly seeing why it made the longlist.

I just finished The Good Wife of Bath by Karen Brooks. I thought it was fantastic.
