I’ll be visiting Rhodes next week for a long weekend and I’m looking for a book set in Greece- but not your classic vacation read.
Im looking for something fast paced, preferably fantasy, thriller, horror, sci-fi. I don’t like chick-lit, romance and ya-style fantasy. I’m okay with retelling of mythology which is immensely popular lately, as long as it’s well written
Some books I’ve read on previous vacations that really fit the bill:
– recursion by Blake crouch (finished it so quickly I immediately started with wayward pines)
– the institute by Stephen king
– Locke and key – ended the whole series in a week
Some books set in Greece which I already read:
– Middlesex by jeffrey eugenides (one of my favourite books!)
– song of Achilles and Circe by Madeline miller
– several Mary Renault novels
