Hello, I’m looking for a book to help my 7 year old. He is autistic and adhd so he’s very matter of fact and emotions are tough to navigate.

We have to put our dog down on Thursday and he’s got a lot of big emotions. Sadness, anxiety, anger, etc. There’s so many books about grief and I don’t have the energy to figure it all out right now.

We would just like something to help explain what he’s feeling without it being faith based or “rainbow bridge” -esque. Nothing wrong with that but kiddo knows about the circle of life and death being a natural part of it. He just feels a lot and it’s all big.

So im counting on you random reddit strangers! Thank you in advance!
