A great ending can be such an important and defining aspect of a great book. Which books have your favorite, most awesome conclusions? by rdr16 Related: Looking for a book like The Terror by Dan Simmons where there’s detailed description of diseases during a voyage Nonfiction beach read History about fascism in countries that did not become fascist states Looking for sprawling prose (ie Krasznahorkai and Bernhard) Suggest me a book about chemistry that’s fun to read and doesn’t read like a textbook
Maddy_egg7 on August 7, 2024 9:41 pm Earthlings by Sayaka Murata I have never had an ending engrained in my head quite like this. I think about it daily. I recommend the book to everyone.
CraftyRatio4492 on August 7, 2024 10:07 pm The end of Lonely Castle in the Mirror by Mizuki Tsujimura made me sob. My Year of Rest and Relaxation by Otessa Moshfegh. A lot of people don’t like it, but the ending of Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica is flawless given the subject matter. The end of Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata caught me off guard. She is amazing at making the story haunt you. Someone else already mentioned it, but if you can get through Tender is the Flesh, you should be good to get through Earthlings by Sayaka Murata.
