Hello all, I am trying to get into some post war japanese books and have begun with Yukio Mishima. Currently read confessions of a mask and temples of the golden pavilion and thoroughly enjoyed mishima's writing and the unique themes it presents. What are some prominent features, themes and style that is usually found in this era of japanese literature? I am looking into reading osamu dazai, kawabata, kobo abe. From what I have gathered from extreme generalizations is that a lot of them explore elements of the human condition but prominently death and beauty.
