So I don’t necessarily need a whole book, but I want spooky short stories. I’ve been getting into creepy short stories due to the Halloween season and realizing I’m loving them. Think Canterville Ghost by Oscar Wilde (admittedly more parody, but still spooky), The Cyperian Cat by Dorothy Sayers, any of the stories contained in The Ghost Variations by Kevin Brockmeier, I’m the Wrong Ghost for This Haunting by Ren Arcamone, any of the stories from the book Tiny Nightmares, A rose for Emily by William Faulkner, etc etc

The Raven – Ed Poe
20th Century Ghosts by Joe Hill. It’s a collection of short stories that are all pretty creepy. One was recently made into a feature film: The Black Phone.
